SUBJECT: Approve Agreement between the County of Lake and the Cities of Clearlake and Lakeport Creating an Agency to be known as the Lake County Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Service Authority, and authorize to Chair to sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Please accept this memorandum as my request for approval of the joint exercise of powers agreement between the County of Lake and the Cities of Clearlake and Lakeport creating an agency to be known as the Lake County Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Service Authority.
The purpose of this agreement is to establish a County-wide program for the abatement of abandoned vehicles. This agreement will allow the Commission to have a total of five members. The five members will consist as follows: Two members of the County Board of Supervisors appointed by said Board and one member from each of the City Councils of the Cities appointed by their respective Councils and one member at large.
Staff recommends the approval of the proposed agreement and the authorization of the Chair to sign.
FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): This agreement has no fiscal impact.
STAFFING IMPACT (if applicable): This agreement is not projected to affect staffing levels.
