SUBJECT: Approve the Acceptance of a 1999 Jetcraft patrol boat and 1999 Baker trailer from the Department of Boating and Waterways
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Lake County Sheriff’s Department Marine Patrol Division was selected by the Department of Boating and Waterways to receive a surplus vessel from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department. This vessel is a 1999 Jetcraft patrol boat, HIN# JDTB2114L899 and includes a 1999 Baker trailer, VIN# 47AVA2520X0061146. This equipment has already been added to the County insurance policy. The boat and trailer will remain the property of the Department of Boating and Waterways but will be registered in the County’s name as the registered owner. This equipment will also be added to our fixed asset listing for the Sheriff/Marine Patrol budget unit 2205.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): There was no cost for the transfer of this vessel from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department. The State Department of Boating and Waterways will assume all maintenance and operating costs through their subvention funds. A value has been placed on this equipment of $42,570 for the boat and $5,000 for the trailer.
