SUBJECT: Adopt Resolution Amending the County of Lake’s Classification Plan for the Classification of Chief Deputy District Attorney Investigator
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Until recently, Sheriff’s Management and the sole Chief Deputy District Attorney Investigator position were a part of our labor Unit 7, with salaries and benefits defined by Management Resolution. However, with the recent formation of the Lake County Sheriff Management Association (LCSMA) Unit 17, the old Unit 7 has been rendered defunct, necessitating that the Chief Deputy District Attorney Investigator position be moved to the Management Unit 1, which also includes other law enforcement management positions, such as the Chief Probation Officer. Approval of this Resolution will facilitate that movement. There is no change in salary and benefits for the affected position.
