SUBJECT: (Sitting as the Lake County Sanitation District, Board of Directors) Approve purchase of budgeted 35KW 120/240V 3 Phase Diesel Generator for LACOSAN Northwest and authorize Special Districts Administrator acting as the Assistant Purchasing Agent to issue and sign purchase order not to exceed $27,160.00.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The FY18/19 budget includes an allocation in budget unit 8355 (LACOSAN NW) for the purchase of a 35KW 120/240V 3 Phase Diesel Generator. We are requesting your Board’s approval of the purchase of this budgeted item that is required to ensure no interruption of service during a loss of power, which is more likely to occur with the recent changes to PG&E’s fire prevention policies and procedures. Based on the lowest bids received, the anticipated cost is $27,160.00. We are requesting your Board’s approval to authorize Special Districts Administrator acting as the Assistant Purchasing Agent to issue and sign purchase order not to exceed $27,160.00.
