SUBJECT: (Sitting as the Lake County Sanitation District, Board of Directors) Approve purchase of budgeted 125KW 480V 3 Phase Stationary Diesel Generator for Middletown Sewer and authorize Special Districts Administrator acting as the Assistant Purchasing Agent to issue and sign purchase order not to exceed $40,954.81
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The FY18/19 budget includes an allocation in budget unit 8353 (Middletown Sewer) for the purchase of a 125KW 480V 3 Phase Stationary Diesel Generator. We are requesting your Board’s approval of the purchase of this budgeted item that is required to ensure no interruption of service during a loss of power, which is more likely to occur with the recent changes to PG&E’s fire prevention policies and procedures. Based on the lowest bids received, the anticipated cost is $40,954.81. We are requesting your Board’s approval to authorize Special Districts Administrator acting as the Assistant Purchasing Agent to issue and sign purchase order not to exceed $40,954.81.
