SUBJECT:                     Approval of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with various entities for mutual aid provided during the River and Ranch (Mendocino Complex) fires.

 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:   The Sheriff’s Department requests your Board’s approval on the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) from the various entities that assisted Lake County in their law enforcement mutual aid request from the River and Ranch (Mendocino Complex) fire.  We have received 25 signed MOA’s to date and have 6 outstanding.    Those agencies have been contacted.

 

Cost estimates are not available at this time for the enforcement portion.  Cost estimates received from Alameda County for the transportation and housing of the inmates  during the Lake County Jail evacuation are projected at $418,000.    No back up data has been received from the Alameda Sheriff’s Office  as of the writing of this memo.
