SUBJECT: Approve Five Year Lease between Penna Realty Property Management and County of Lake for the Annual Amount of $48,000, and authorize the Chair to sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Since 2009, our department has leased office space from Penna Realty Property Management (Penna) for Adult Services Division at 16170 Main Street in Lower Lake, units C, D, and G. Recently units E and F became available and could house our Housing, Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Conference room and Child Welfare Visit room staff. This agreement includes binding arbitration verbiage as in our previously approved lease agreement.
We would like to move from our current location in Clearlake to Main Street in Lower Lake due to complaints from staff regarding safety concerns and parking problems for both staff and clients as well as connection issues with our county network.
The term of this lease is through October 31, 2023 and the cost of the space is approximately $0.83 per square foot, totaling $4,000 per month. This lease covers units E and F only and is separate from the lease covering units C, D, and G.
