SUBJECT: Approve Purchase of Grant-Funded Oil Spill Response Equipment and Authorize the Water Resources Department Director/Assistant Purchasing Agent to Issue and Sign Purchase Order not to exceed $35,000
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On October 2, 2018, your Board adopted a resolution to accept $35,000 in grant funds from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Office of Spill Prevention and Response for oil spill response equipment and training. Staff identified three vendors from a list of state-approved suppliers. One vendor replied to a request for quotes; Global Diving and Salvage in Vallejo, Ca. The equipment described in the attached quote meets the intent of the grant and is within the allocated $35,000.
