SUBJECT:                     Authorize Long Distance Travel for Water Resources Engineer II Yuliya Osetrova to Attend the FEMA Community Rating System (CRS) Workshop in Carson City, Nevada on October 30 and 31, 2018

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

 

The workshop will offer information and updates about the National Flood Insurance Program’s CRS, which provides flood insurance discounts to residents of participating counties.  Lake County’s current rating of Class 7 offers county residents to as much as a 15% discount on flood insurance costs. This training will support the Water Resources Department’s continued maintenance and improvement of the CRS Program.  There is no cost for the workshop and travel expenses are budgeted.
