SUBJECT: (a) Waive the formal bidding process, pursuant to Lake County Code Section 38.2, as it is not in the public interest due to the unique nature of goods or services; and (b) Contract with Ken Dorsey Janitorial to Provide Janitorial Services for the Lake County Health Department and Authorize the Board Chair to Sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Health Services Department is requesting Board approval to waive the normal competitive bidding process in order to contract with Ken Dorsey Janitorial in the amount of $13,330.32 annually.
Health Services has had difficulty in the past year in finding and keeping janitorial staff. Mr. Dorsey is a local business owner who is willing to provide janitorial services for our office.
