SUBJECT: Adopt a Resolution to “Opt-In” to Outreach Agreement with the California Complete Count Census 2020
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
As your Board is aware, this year the State is providing funding for individual counties to use to reach out to hard to count populations to encourage their participation in the 2020 Census. The estimated amount of state funding available to Lake County for both the unincorporated and incorporated areas is $75,000.
The California Complete Count Census 2020 Office requires the County to “Opt-In” to the agreement for funding by providing a Board of Supervisors Resolution authorizing execution of the agreement, and opt-in letter no later than February 8, 2019.

Annual Cost (if planned for future years): $34,125 FY 19/20, $3,750 FY 20/21
FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): We will have unanticipated revenue of the same amount as the estimated cost and both will be budgeted at mid-year budgets.
