SUBJECT: Approve Amendment 1 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Vista Pacifica Enterprises, Inc. for Adult Residential Support Services and Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2018-19 in the amount of $105,700 and authorize the Board Chair to sign the Amendment.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Attached, for your approval, is Amendment 1 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Vista Pacifica Enterprises, Inc. for Adult Residential Support Services and Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2018-19.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION: Vista Pacifica Enterprises, Inc. is the corporate name that has two (2) facilities under it: Vista Pacifica Center is a 108 bed locked IMD facility with a Special Treatment Program (STP) and Vista Pacifica Convalescent is a 49 bed secured Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) for the geropsych with behaviors and medical issues. Lake County Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) has had a client placed at Vista Pacifica Center for a number of months and anticipates that the client will remain placed at this facility through the end of the fiscal year; therefore, an increase in the current contract is necessary.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): LCBHS is requesting approval of Amendment 1 to the Agreement with Vista Pacifica Enterprises, Inc. for Fiscal Year 2018-19 for an increase of $55,700 for a new contract maximum of $105,700. This increase will be funded from unassigned funds within the SNF level of care ($45,600) and from unassigned funds within the Behavioral Health Facilities level of care ($10,100). This contract is funded by Realignment funds.
