II. ABATEMENT SUMMARY

On February 23, 2018 a Notice of Nuisance and Order to Abate was prepared and posted at 16560 Rose Street, Lower Lake, CA, and mailed, certified to the property owner of record due to the remnants of a burnt RV, burnt fence, high weeds and other miscellaneous debris. The Abatement Notice provided Mr. Gerstmann with 30 days to abate the property.

After no contact with the property owner of record and the certified mail containing the Abatement Notice was returned by the post office as undeliverable. On September 20, 2018, Code Enforcement staff solicited a bid from a local contractor for the abatement of the violations on the subject property.

The local contractor; Pioneer Constructors Inc. provided staff with a reasonable bid and was awarded the abatement. On or about October 1, 2018, the awarded contractor started the abatement/clean up and completed the job soon after.

On October 11, 2018 a follow up site visit was conducted by Code Enforcement staff confirming the contractor had completed the work.
