SUBJECT:                     (a) Adopt Resolution approving the Lake County Sheriff's Office to apply for State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation Off-Highway Vehicle Grant funds and (b) authorize the Sheriff/Coroner or his designee to sign the Project Agreement 

 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:   The Sheriff’s Office has applied for and received approval of a grant through the California State Parks Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program for funding its Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) enforcement program.  The grant was electronically submitted and now requires your Board’s approval of the attached Resolution and Program Agreement.     There are four (4) originals of the Program Agreement that need to be returned to the State for signature.  Please prepare a minute order.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative):   The grant amount totals $$44,188 and requires a County match of 25% or $11,047.  The County match is funded through the green sticker fee program and will be transferred from budget 1781.  A budget adjustment will be made during the mid year budget review.  There is no cost to the County General Fund.
