(a) Consideration of an Extra Agenda item, and;

(b) Consideration of recruitment options to fill the Animal Control Director position in light of the impending resignation of the incumbent, with possible direction to staff

 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

(a)                     This item is being submitted as an “extra” agenda item, with justification as follows:

 

As your Board is aware, AC Director Bill Davidson is resigning soon, with March 8, 2019 as his last day on the job.  Since your Board does not meet again until February 26, 2019, it is essential that your Board provide direction on February 12, 2019 to enable recruitment efforts to begin immediately.

 

(b)                     Staff recommends, in order to have all best options possible for filling the AC Director position, that your Board consider conducting both immediate promotional and open recruitments.
