SUBJECT: Award Bid for the Relocation of Sewer Facilities in Middletown project, in the amount of $341,449.00 to Terracon Constructors, Inc. of Healdsburg, CA and Authorize the Chair to execute the Notice of Award and Agreement.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Relocation of Sewer Facilities in Middletown project is necessary to eliminate utility conflicts with a Caltrans Safety project on Highway 175 west of Middletown. Bids were publically opened on January 10, 2019. Five bids were received and the apparent lowest, responsible bidder is TerraCon Constructors, Inc. of Healdsburg, CA. Attached for review is the bid tabulation of bids received.
The project will be funded utilizing capital reserves which are sufficient to cover the project cost.
Staff recommends that the Board award the Contract for the Relocation of Sewer Facilities in Middletown project to TerraCon Constructors, Inc. in the amount of $341,449.00 and authorize the Chair to execute the Agreement and the attached Notice of Award.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): This was an unbudgeted project since the need for it arose after the budget cycle for the current FY. Sufficient funds are available for the completion of this project.
