SUBJECT: Consideration of Change of Composition of Board appointed committee to negotiate with the City of Lakeport regarding the South Main area
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
In 2017, our Board designated Supervisor Rob Brown, myself and CAO Carol Huchingson to negotiate with the City of Lakeport regarding the South Main area. The last time the committee met with the City was in 2017 and since then, the committee has begun exploring County options for retaining South Main with the possibility of adding the needed infrastructure for water and sewer in the area.
Recently, Supervisor Brown has expressed his intent to focus on the priorities of his district and with this in mind, I am recommending our Board consider appointing Supervisor Moke Simon to replace Supervisor Brown on this committee. Given the expanded focus of the committee, to explore options for County water/sewer in the area, I am further recommending Special Districts Administrator Jan Coppinger and Public Works Director Scott DeLeon be added to the committee.

Appoint Supervisor Moke Simon, Special Districts Administrator Jan Coppinger
and Public Works Director Scott DeLeon to the Board-appointed committee to
negotiate with the City of Lakeport regarding the South Main area and to explore
County options for retaining the area with the possibility of adding the needed infrastructure for water and sewer.
