SUBJECT: Approve Amendment 1 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Davis Guest Home for Adult Residential Support Services and Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2018-19 for the amount of $133,200 and authorize the Board Chair to sign the Amendment.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Attached, for your approval, is Amendment 1 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Davis Guest Home for Adult Residential Support Services and Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2018-19.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION: Davis Guest Home, which is located in Modesto, is an Adult Residential Living Facility licensed by the State of California. The Board and Care Facility is specific to the needs of adult clients that require placement that provides a structured environment due to the mental health challenges our clients face. The structured environment offers a non-restrictive, supervised program which focuses on each resident's specific needs and interests. Davis Guest Home has proven to be a cost-effective alternative for care for clients who need this type of structured environment. Lake County Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) pays a daily patch rate of $105 per day which is our cost after the client's portion is paid.
As LCBHS currently has clients placed at this facility, and as it is our goal to keep our clients placed at the lowest level of care possible, LCBHS is requesting an increase of $3,200 to the total maximum payable under the Agreement for a new contract maximum of $133,200.
