SUBJECT: Approve the Award of Bid for the Cycle 7 & Cycle 8 Signs and Striping Project, Bid No. 18-22, Federal Aid Project No.'s HSIPL-5914(104) & HSIPL-5914(113) to McGuire Pacific Constructor's, of Auburn CA in the Amount of $1,239,526 and Authorize the Chair to execute the Notice of Award and Agreement
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Purchasing Department publicly opened bids for the subject project on Thursday, January 31, 2019. Two (2) bids were received and the lowest responsible bidder was McGuire Pacific Constructor’s, of Auburn, CA. Please refer to the attached bid tabulation.
The project is fully funded from Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) funds.
The scope of the project is to upgrade the warning signs, delineators and traffic striping on various roads in Lake County.
Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors award the Contract for the Cycle 7 & Cycle 8 HSIP Signs and Striping Project to McGuire Pacific Constructor’s in the amount of $1,239,526.00 and authorize the Chair to execute the Agreement and execute the attached Notice of Award.
