SUBJECT: (Sitting as the Lake County Sanitation District, Board of Directors) Adopt Resolution revising the Fiscal Year 2018-19 Adopted Budget of the County of Lake by canceling Capital Improvement Reserves in the amount of $380,000 for LACOSAN Middletown Sewer to make appropriations in Budget Unit 8353, Object code 63.05 to pay for the Caltrans Force Main Relocation Project
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Middletown Sewer has a need to relocate sewer facilities to eliminate utility conflicts with a Caltrans Safety project on Highway 175 west of Middletown. The work required will include installation of a bypass force main, relocation of 1,370 feet of force main, and the removal of an air/vacuum release valve and vault. Bids were publically opened on January 10, 2019. Five bids were received and the apparent lowest, responsible bidder is TerraCon Constructors, Inc. of Healdsburg, CA. We respectfully request that your board approve the cancelation of Capital Improvement reserves in the amount of $380,000 in order to fund this required project.
