SUBJECT: Approve Letter to Senator Mike McGuire to express appreciation for his support of AB 72, to be signed by all five Board members
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
As part of his unrelenting advocacy for the recovery and vibrancy of Lake County, Senator McGuire announced on February 12, 2019, that the Senate voted in favor of AB 72 which would provide needed property tax backfill to Lake County, for all of our wildfire losses over the past three fire seasons. This comes as a result of the incredible efforts of Senator McGuire who has worked tirelessly, right alongside us, throughout each and every disaster. At the direction of your Board, staff has prepared the attached letter for your consideration, thanking Senator McGuire for his leadership on behalf of Lake County.
