SUBJECT: Approve purchase of office furniture for the Emergency Operations Center from Staples Business Advantage in the amount of $26,081.84 and authorize the Sheriff/Coroner or his designee to sign the purchase order
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: On February 11, 2019, the Sheriff’s Department issued a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the purchase of office furniture for the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Bid requests were sent to Staples, Interior Concepts, Everything2go.com, National Business Furniture, Global Industrial, Officefurniture.com and K-Log.com. After review of the bids, Staples was chosen as the only bidder that met the specifications as well as the lowest bidder.
These items will replace the existing tables and chairs.
This purchase has been approved in the FY16 Homeland Security grant, Project G and funds are budgeted in the Sheriff/OES budget 2704/38.00, so there is no cost to the County. Request approval for the purchase of tables and chairs in the EOC and authorize the Sheriff or his designee to sign a purchase order.
