SUBJECT: Approve Amendment 1 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Remi Vista, Inc. for specialty mental health services for Fiscal Year 2018-19 in the amount of $40,000 and authorize the Board Chair to sign the Amendment.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Attached, for your approval, is Amendment 1 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Remi Vista, Inc. for specialty mental health services for Fiscal Year 2018-19. Under this Agreement, Lake County Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) is obligated to pay for specialty mental health services provided to Lake County Medi-Cal beneficiaries placed at Remi Vista, Inc.
BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY: Remi Vista, Inc., located in Redding, is a Short Term Residential Treatment Program licensed by the State of California. The facility offers a more intensive program milieu. As Child Welfare Services or Probation are ultimately responsible for initiating the placement of Lake County children and youth, LCBHS is ultimately responsible for the reimbursement of any specialty mental health services these children and youth receive.
As an additional Lake County Medi-Cal beneficiary has been placed at Remi Vista, Inc., LCBHS is requesting an increase of $15,000 to the total maximum payable under the Agreement for a new contract maximum of $40,000.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): LCBHS is requesting approval of Amendment 1 to the Agreement for an increase of $15,000 to the total maximum payable under the Agreement for a new contract maximum of $40,000.
The funds for this increase will be re-allocated from unassigned funds within the same budget allocation.
