SUBJECT: Approve budget transfer in the amount of $28,937 in the Sheriff/Marine Patrol budget 2205, transferring funds from object code 17.00 into 62.74, in the amount of $28,937
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: On December 11, 2018, your Board approved the purchase of a replacement engine for a 2011 24’ Alumaweld patrol boat used by our Marine Patrol division. A bid to McAtee’s Marine in the amount of $28,936.89 was approved from the Sheriff/Marine Patrol budget 2205 object code 17.00. At the request of the Auditor’s Office, a budget transfer in this amount is being requested so this motor will show as a fixed asset on the County’s Capitalized Asset listing (budget transfer is attached). The patrol boat is owned by the State Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways. State monies were used to purchase this boat and there was no cost of the County in its acquisition.
