SUBJECT: Approve First Amendment to the Contract between County of Lake and North Coast Opportunities, Inc. for the Housing Support Program in the amount of $1,927.60, from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2021 and authorize the Chair to sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
In January of 2019, your Board approved a contract between Lake County Department of Social Services and North Coast Opportunities, Inc. to administer the Housing Support Program. This program provides support and financial assistance, primarily in the form of rent payments, to CalWORKs clients who meet the program eligibility requirements. In March, the State allocated additional funds in the amount of $1,927.60 to send two Housing Support Program Case Managers to the Annual Housing California Conference in April of 2019.
This amendment is needed to adjust the compensation amount of the current contract, and provide payment to contractor. It is specified in the amendment that the additional funds are only to be used to attend the conference in Fiscal Year 2018 - 2019. This amendment will increase total compensation to $291,917.60 for Fiscal Year 2018 - 2019, and the total compensation will remain at $290,000 per Fiscal Year, for the remainder of the contract.
