SUBJECT: Consideration of Resolution Amending Resolution No. 2019-80 Establishing Position Allocations for Fiscal Year 2019-2020, Budget Unit No. 2301, Sheriff-Jail Facilities
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Staff is submitting for your consideration a Resolution to reclassify the Correctional Officer I/II allocations to Deputy Sheriff I/II - Corrections, the Correctional Sergeant allocations to Sergeant - Corrections, and the Correctional Lieutenant allocation to Lieutenant - Corrections, and amend the position allocation for Jail Facilities, budget unit 2301, accordingly.
Your Board previously approved the creation of the position of Captain - Sworn and deletion of the allocation of Correctional Captain from this Budget Unit. However, the establishment of a Captain - Corrections position is also requested for the possibility of future consideration by the Sheriff’s Office depending upon the needs of the department at that time.
The classification of Deputy Sheriff I/II - Corrections, and Sergeant - Corrections are MOU driven and have been through meet and confer with the Lake County Correctional Officers Association.
