SUBJECT: Consent Agenda Item for May 21, 2019. Award of Bid for the Clark Drive Pavement Repair Project; Bid No. 18-24; Federal Aid Project No.: BRLS-5914 (025)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The purchasing department publicly opened bids for the subject project on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Five (5) bids were received and the lowest responsible bidder was Northwest Paving, Inc., of Redding, CA. Please refer to the attached bid tabulation,
This project is fully funded from the Federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP) and local match.
The Scope of the project is to construct 3” deep dig-outs, place a single layer chip seal, fog seal, and traffic stripes, and markings to repair the damage to Clark Drive after it was used for a detour during the construction of the Cole Creek at Soda Bay Road bridge replacement project.
Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors award the contract for the Clark Drive Pavement Repair Project to Northwest Paving, Inc. in the amount of $297,327.00 and authorize the Chair to execute the Agreement and execute the attached Notice of Award.
