SUBJECT: Approve Second Amendment to Side Letter with the Lake County Deputy Sheriff’s Association for On-Call Status for Patrol Deputies
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On April 2, 2019, your Board approved a side letter to the Lake County Deputy Sheriff’s Association MOU in order to provide Deputy Sheriffs assigned to patrol the opportunity to be placed on On-Call status during this time of staffing shortages in the department. The attached Second Amendment to the original side letter extends this provision for the life of the current contract, ending 12/31/19. The Sheriff has indicated a need for this to continue.
