SUBJECT: Approve Contract between the County of Lake and Lake Transit Authority for Local Public Transportation Services in the Amount of $73,920, from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 and authorize the Chair to sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
As your Board is aware, Lake County Social Services contracts with Lake Transit Authority to obtain monthly, unlimited use bus passes to provide for eligible CalWORKs Welfare-To-Work clients. The bus passes help participants have access to local public transportation and can be used to travel to and from important appointments, job interviews, and more. This service helps to achieve the ultimate goal of self-sufficiency for Welfare-To-Work participants.
