SUBJECT: Approve budget transfer in the Sheriff/DNA fund for the purchase of a back-up generator at the Evidence Facility due to anticipated Public Safety Power Shut-off
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Sheriff’s Department requests approval of the attached budget transfer authorizing the transfer of funds in the Sheriff/DNA budget 2213 for the purchase of a back-up generator for its Evidence Facility. The bid has been approved by Public Services and will sign the purchase order. The purchase is allowable from the DNA budget under section 76104.6.3(C) of the penal code.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): Funding is available in the Sheriff/DNA budget unit 2213. This request is for approval of a budget transfer, transferring funds into a fixed asset account. This purchase is from special funding sources and so no county general fund money is included for this purchase.
