SUBJECT: (a) Approve New Capital Asset in the Amount of $5,974.08 to Purchase a New Dump Trailer; and (b) Approve the Purchase of a New Dump Trailer and Authorize the Department Head to Sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The wet winter has increased vegetation density throughout the county. Water Resources purchased a new dump trailer to assist with risk reduction and removal of vegetation from Watershed Protection District-managed lands. Funds were available for the purchase in account code 62-74 (Capital Assets) within BU 8109. Three bids were obtained per county purchasing policy. However I was unaware that, as a capital asset, it required prior approval from the Board. I am now requesting the capital asset be added and authorize the department head to sign the purchase.
