SUBJECT: Approve MOU between the County of Lake and the Mendocino - Lake Community College District for inmate programs and authorize the Chair to sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Lake County Sheriff’s Department requests to collaborate with the Mendocino-Lake Community College District to establish a Corrections to College Program for incarcerated individuals. This program will allow up to fifteen (15) low level offenders to participate in courses provided at the Lake County Jail/Hill Road Facility.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): The incarcerated individual will be required to register for the courses and pay any required enrollment and student fees. They may also apply for a fee waiver or financial aid.
