SUBJECT: Approve Budget Transfer of $200,000.00 from BU 5011 - Social Services Admin account 750.01-11 to BU 5121 - General Welfare account 751.40-40 for Foster Care payments for the month of June, 2019 and authorize the Chair to sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Department of Social Services is responsible for BU 5121 - General Welfare and submits charges for Child Welfare and Foster Care (account 40-40) to the Auditor for payment. The charges that were submitted June 2019 caused account 40-40 to become overdrawn, exceeding the budget approved by the Board for Fiscal Year 2018-2019. This request is to cover additional Foster Care Assistance costs for Child Welfare Services and Juvenile Probation.
Because there are insufficient funds remaining in the 5121 - General Welfare budget, a Budget Transfer from BU 5011 - Social Services Admin has been submitted for your consideration.
