SUBJECT: Approve and Authorize the Chair to Sign a Letter Requesting Governor Newsom Sign AB 632
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
As you will recall, at the request of your Board in late 2018, the Honorable Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry graciously Authored AB 632. Your Board acted March 5 to convey your unanimous support and Sponsorship to the Assemblymember.
Thanks to the collective efforts of Your Board, County staff, Assemblymember Aguiar-Curry and Senator Mike McGuire, AB 632 has passed both the California State Assembly and Senate, and is presently awaiting Governor Newsom’s signature.
Staff recommend your Board approve the attached letter requesting Governor Newsom sign AB 632, and authorize the Chair to sign, on your Board’s behalf.
