SUBJECT: Consideration of (a) Lake County Fish and Wildlife Advisory Committee’s recommendation for developing new premiums for the Lake County Fair Book in the amount of $360 annually (b) Lake County Fish and Wildlife Advisory Committee’s recommendation to support Lake County Department of Water Resources to design, develop and distribute drainage signs in the amount of $9,234.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
I would like to ask the Board to consider approving the following requests from the Fish & Wildlife Advisory Committee:
(a) Recommend use of FW funds for developing new premiums for the LC Fair Book. The premiums would be listed under Fine Arts, and would encourage the use of native plants in floral arraignments; wildlife photography, fly tying, and other topics related to highlighting LC natural wonders. Collection of premiums approximately $360/year.
(b) Recommend use Fish & Wildlife funds to support Lake County Department of Water Resources to design, develop and distribute drain signs alerting people of drains that empty into creeks, wetlands and Clear Lake. Amount requested approximately $9,234.
Approving these recommended proposals will enhance Fish & Wildlife in Lake County.
