SUBJECT: Adopt Resolution Authorizing Submittal of an Application, Acceptance of an Allocation of Funds and Execution of a Grant Agreement with the California Department of Transportation, for an Airport Improvement Program Matching Grant
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The County has received approval for FAA Grant Funds for the Runway 10-28 Asphalt Slurry Seal Rehabilitation Project at Lampson Field Airport (102). The applicable grant agreement has been included for your information. It is now necessary for the County to submit an application to the Caltrans Division of Aeronautics to receive reimbursement for the budgeted State match of 5% of the Federal share of the project costs. The state share for this project amounts to $51,233.85.
Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the filing of the application for State Matching Grant Funds and designate the Public Works director as the County’s official representative to sign the necessary application and grant document and authorize the Chair to sign the attached resolution.
