SUBJECT: Consideration of Lake County’s Priorities for Long Term Recovery from Repeated Wildfire Disasters.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
As you know, in October, Chair Scott and I will travel to Washington DC along with representatives from Rebuild Northbay and our counterparts from a number of local jurisdictions severely impacted by wildfire disasters in recent years.
In preparation for this trip, Chair Scott and I are requesting a discussion with the full Board to identify the top priorities for our meetings with HUD, FEMA, USDA and with our federally elected representatives.
Following this discussion, staff will prepare an updated list of priorities to be used to advocate for our needs.
