SUBJECT:                     Adopt Resolution Approving Agreement No.19-0268-029-SF with the California Department of Food and Agriculture to authorize the execution of the Light Brown Apple Moth Detection Program July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 in the amount of $2,484.00.

 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

I would like to ask the Board to adopt the attached Resolution approving an agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for the Light Brown Apple Moth Detection Trapping program in Lake County from July 1, 2019 through the June 30, 2020. This pest has been detected in 28 counties, from Mendocino to San Diego. This has not been detected in Lake County as of today. A Federal Domestic Quarantine Order was established on May 2, 2007 that required, in addition to other actions, additional LBAM trapping to allow continued interstate movement of regulated articles. The agreement amount is $2,484.00.

Should the Board adopt this Resolution, please have the chair sign and return one (1) copy of the Agreement, one (1) copy of the Board Resolution and return them to the Department of Agriculture for processing. A signed completed copy will be returned for your records.
