SUBJECT: Approve Letter of Support for Lake County Watershed Protection District’s grant application for the Scotts Creek Scientific Study
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Lake County Watershed Protection District will be applying for a grant through the California Wildlife Conservation Boards Proposition 1 Stream Flow Enhancement Program. If funded The Lake County Watershed Protection District will be able to study the chemical, biological, and hydrological make-up of the Scotts Creek Watershed. Due to the frequent and routine flooding during winter months, this study will aid the County in proper flood management and mitigation of Scott’s Creek. Support from the Board is greatly appreciated.
