SUBJECT: Approve Addendum 1 to Trinity Food Services Agreement between Trinity Services Group and Lake County for the preparation of inmate meals for the Colusa County Jail and Authorize Chair to Sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On June 28, 2016, the County entered into an agreement with Trinity Services Group for the supervision of inmate labor performing the duties of food preparation at the Lake County Jail/Hill Road Facility. In March 2019, it was brought to our attention that Trinity Services Group owed monies to the Lake County Jail for its use of our jail kitchen for the preparation of inmate meals on behalf of the Colusa County Jail. Upon further research, an agreement between Trinity Services Group and Lake County could not be located.
This addendum to the food services agreement is for the period of January 1, 2018 through February 8, 2019. Trinity Services Group has agreed to pay Lake County .10 per each meal prepared on our premises. According to their records, they prepared a total of 99,346 meals at a rate of .10/meal, thus owing Lake County $9,934.60.
