SUBJECT: (a) Approve the purchase of a Bandit 150XP brush chipper through Cal-Line Equipment; and (b) Authorize the Public Services Director/Assistant Purchasing Agent to issue a Purchase Order in the amount of $39,749.00 to Cal-Line Equipment
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Parks & Recreation budget for FY 19-20, Budget Unit 7011, includes a $40,000 appropriation for a brush chipper. The chipper will be used for park grounds and trail maintenance purposes and will reduce green waste disposal by employing the beneficial reuse practice of chipping vegetation onsite. Staff followed the County’s informal solicitation procedures and, after receiving quotes and responses from multiple vendors, Cal-Line Equipment was the lowest responsible bidder.
