SUBJECT: Approve Member Agreement with Plexux Global for a three (3) year term and authorize the Chair to sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Through our membership with the CSAC- Excess Insurance Authority (EIA), Human Resources procures Drug and Alcohol Testing Services, for our Department of Transportation (DOT) jobs and for reasonable suspicion, through a recommended vendor. Recently, CSAC-EIA has recommended a change in vendors from Alere to Plexus Global. The services through Plexus Global will either cost the same or be less expensive in some cases. Total expenditures for these services typically average less than $1,000 per year but we are requesting Board approval because there is no maximum compensation contemplated in the agreement. Costs will be billed according to the Addendum/Scope of Work. The term of the agreement is for three years, with a one year renewal.
