SUBJECT: Consideration of Contract Change Order No. 1 for the South Shore Behavioral Health Roof Project, Bid No. 18-14
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Attached for the Board’s review and approval is Contract Change Order (CCO) 1 for the subject project.
CCO 1 addresses the need to replace roofing substrate and raise HVAC curbing. During construction a few small areas of the existing roofing substrate were discovered to be deteriorated and in need of replacement. Additionally the curbs for five rooftop HVAC units were determined to be set too low for the new roofing material. A field order was issued to authorize the installation of new substrate, as well as to raise the curbs and install new flashing on the curbs. This change order accounts for the cost of this additional work. The increased cost to the project is $2,590.00 for a revised total contract cost of $220,290.00.
