SUBJECT:                     Discussion/Debriefing on recent PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

In the early morning hours on October 9, 2019, PG&E initiated a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) impacting all Lake County residents and lasting three or more days for most.  Considerable staff time went into managing this event and dealing with the many complications and unexpected consequences resulting from it.

 

Staff requests an opportunity to report out and debrief with your Board regarding this recent PSPS event and seek the direction of your Board on any follow up actions.
