EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

On October 31, 2019, your Board met jointly with the City Councils of Clearlake and Lakeport to discuss the many negative impacts and issues resulting from the recent PG&E-imposed Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS).

At the close of the meeting, all three jurisdictions approved a letter to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), demanding that CPUC stand up to the abuse PG&E is imposing on our communities.

The three jurisdictions also agreed that a committee would be formed, comprised of two elected representatives from each jurisdiction, along with staff support, to focus on continuing advocacy efforts on behalf all Lake County residents and to develop, propose and demand solutions.
