Executive Summary:
Everbridge is a mass notification system that has the ability to connect with the public via landline telephone, cell phone, computer and tablet. The system has a mapping program that can be used to help locate the vulnerable population in Lake County that may need assistance with evacuations during emergencies. The system has a Weather Alert and is compatible with the Integrated Public Alert Warning Systems (IPAWS).

Everbridge offers a unified, web-based platform to send messages over a multitude of channels, including wireless emergency alerts, email, alerts to tablets, mobile phones, and computers, IPAWS, and mass telephonic notification. Administrators are able to initiate notifications from anywhere they have an internet connection. The system is able to be configured to send specific messages to:
* Identified special needs populations
* Employee groups
* Pre-designated geographical regions
o School Districts
o Supervisorial Districts
o Flood Plains
o Designated Communities
Notifications can be sent using map based drawing and selection tools, as well as shape files imported from systems such as Google Maps, Bing Maps, and ESRI. Notifications can be published directly to Facebook and Twitter accounts, and other websites that support access.
The system can generate acknowledgment receipts to ensure recipients understand situations and advisories. Such acknowledgments can also aid in litigation response. The Sheriff's Office recommends that your Board approve the renewal agreement for use of this system. It is a service that is of benefit to all of our communities and many of our departments. ...
