Subject:                     Adopt Resolution Approving the Health Services Department’s Application to the California Department of Public Health, Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch (CLPPP) Grant Program for Fiscal Years 2020/2021 through 2022/2023 and authorize the Director of Health Services to Sign Said Application and Grant in the amount of $74,112.

 

Executive Summary:

The Health Services Department is requesting Board approval to apply for this grant funding to support the CLPPP program. The grant will be used to continue to provide lead prevention services and consultation to child care providers, to increase awareness of lead hazards, support county-wide surveillance efforts, refine and enhance presentations to increase awareness, ensure that all required reports and documentation of activities within the Lake County program are provided to the State and to continue to collaborate with Environmental Health, Public Health Nursing, and other local agencies.
