California State Senator Jim Nielsen of the 4th Senate District is seeking Letters of Support for a $15 million one-time allocation in the 2020-21 California State Budget to fund a North State Public Safety Training Center in Sutter County's Yuba City. If approved, this allocation would facilitate a secure, multi-platform training center for first responders and others who must meet state-mandated standards to perform public safety and disaster response operations.
Sheriff Brian Martin affirmed his support for development of this facility in 2019.
