Subject: (Sitting as the Lake County Sanitation District, Board of Directors) - Approve Amendment #1 between Lake County Sanitation District and Brelje & Race Consulting Engineers in the amount of $48,000 and a total contract amount of $405,000 for the Anderson Springs Sewer Project; and authorize the Chair to sign.
Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
On November 14, 2017 your Board approved a service agreement with Brelje & Race Consulting Engineers in the amount of $357,000 for construction management services for the construction phase of the Anderson Springs Sewer Project. The construction had to be performed in two phases due to separate funding agencies and to avoid conflicts with different contractors working in a congested area. The two separate phases of construction required a longer term of engineering services during construction than was originally planned and additional costs were incurred. The service agreement is funded by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and USDA.
This amendment to the agreement is to extend the term and provide for the additional costs that were incurred by Brelje & Race Consulting Engineers.
