Subject:                     (a) Waive the formal bidding process, pursuant to Lake County Code Section 38.2, as it is not in the public interest due to the unique nature of goods or services; and (b) Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Mountain Valley Family and Child Services for Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2019-20 increasing the total amount payable from $25,000 to $48,400 and authorize the Board Chair to sign the Amendment.

 

Executive Summary: Attached, for your approval, is Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Mountain Valley Child and Family Services for Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2019-20. Under the Agreement, Lake County Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) is obligated to pay for Day Treatment Intensive services at $214.75 per day, as well as any additional Specialty Mental Health Services at the current published rate.

 

As clients are already placed at this facility and it would require extensive work for the County Probation and/or CWS department to find placements for these clients, LCBHS is requesting to waive the formal bidding process pursuant to Lake County Code Section 38.2, as it is not in the public interest due to the unique nature of goods or services.
